1.Tell me a little about yourself.
I have been formulating herbal products since 1995, I live in Waldo Wisconsin with my Partner Scott and our 2 cats Lilly & Leo. I have 4 wonderful children, now adults, whom have enriched me immensely.

2.Where does your inspiration come from when crafting?
My inspiration comes from nature. I have a favorite quote that I live by, " I go to nature to be soothed and healed and to have my senses put in order." Plants give us so much, I enjoy creating and putting a piece of them in each product I make. I know they appreciate the tribute and after all it's one of their reasons for being, to nourish and heal us.

3.Who taught you and how did you learn to craft?
I studied Natural Health in College which inspired me to make my first herbal product, my herbal salve. In one course of study the class had to make something with the herbs studied. At this time I had extremely aggravated eczema so I was determined to find something natural to help with that. I did find three herbs, Calendula, Chickweed & Comfrey. I found them right in my own backyard! I made a salve with them and had my hands healed in three days! I was truly convinced of the power of nature and I have not stopped learning about that power ever since. My sensitive skin prompted me to created products FOR sensitive skin. Six years ago my son Ryan taught me how to make soap. He started making and selling soap for extra money while in college. From the first batch I made I was hooked. What a feeling to see such a transformation, I found the whole process amazing and incorporated my herbs into the soap making process.

4. Any Specific Tips you have for newbie crafters starting a business in etsy?
Be organized plan your time, don't get discouraged, a business doesn't grow over night, it needs nurturing and your passion for what you make will see you through the tough times. But don't be "all consumed by it either", you still have a personal life to nourish also.

5. Name 3 websites you couldn’t live without.
Three websites I couldn't live without, hmm I would say Amazon, Mountain Rose Herbs and Jedwards.

6. What are your 3 favorite shops and why.
There are many fine shops on Etsy, I would hate to be limited by 3 but here are a few.
. Twisted Sticks, APrincessAndaBee and The Retired Quilt. They make amazing fabric and knit items, I admire their creativity and skill. These are things I don't make and have great respect for those that do.
I want to mention Spice Grove Designs also, Charlotte's creativity with the use of spices is awesome and inspiring!

7. Where do you see your crafting business in 10 years?
In ten years I will find my business winding down a bit, I will be in retirement but will keep creating and being inspired.

Here is the scoop on the owner:

1.Tell me a little about yourself.
My name is Cristy Ramos, owner of Artisan Bath & Body. I'm a proud stay at home mom who has a wonderful and helpful husband and three home-schooled children. I love nature as much as I love learning about different cultures and crafts. Lover of all animals, coffee, and tea.

2.Where does your inspiration come from when crafting?
My inspiration to make bath and body products comes from my youngest son. Since my youngest son was born, he started having bad skin conditions because of the products we used back then. On 2010, I started searching for as many alternatives as I could find to live healthier and greener, and that was when we started making our own products and making changes where it was possible.

3.Who taught you and how did you learn to craft?
Since I was little, I was always involved in crafts like ceramic, embossed metal, sewing, crochet, and much more. As I grew older, this made me get inspiration to make our own things. I read many books about soap-making with different methods and continued learning more and more each time until I started making soap.

4. Any Specific Tips you have for newbie crafters starting a business in etsy?
At the end of 2012. we decided to open an Etsy Shop, opening our Etsy shop led us to social websites (were we got most of our customers from). After our 1,000 sales (on 2013), we decided to open a website were we could have more new and returning customers too. We then understood that having social media helps.

5. Name 3 websites you couldn’t live without.
The three websites I couldn't live without are #1 Etsy.com #2Facebook.com #3 Tumblr.com

6. What are your 3 favorite shops and why.
My three favorite shops on Etsy are #1 www.supersock.etsy.combecause they have many unusual recycled stuff that I really love so much #2 www.lizsox.etsy.com because she knits artisan socks and beanies from scratch and I really love them #3www.mountainartcasting.etsy.com because his sculptures are so beautiful, I love them so much!

1.Tell me a little about yourself.
I am a recent college graduate with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have no formal training in photography. I love nature and animals, especially horses. :)

2.Where does your inspiration come from when crafting?
God's creation.

3.Who taught you and how did you learn to craft?
I have done many types of crafts throughout the years. My grandmother taught me to sew at a very young age. I taught myself to knit when I was twelve. I have always enjoyed papercrafting. I just started taking nature photos a few years ago when a fellow Etsy member gave me a camera.

4. Any Specific Tips you have for newbie crafters starting a business in etsy?
Plug into a good team that can help you with SEO and selling tips (they are also good for boosting morale. :)) Study shops that make similar items and learn what makes them successful.

5. Name 3 websites you couldn’t live without.
   1. Etsy (no surprise, huh? :)) I have many friends there among customers.
   2. Amazon (my favorite place to shop online after Etsy.)
   3. Yahoo (I read the news there every morning. It keeps me in touch with the rest of the world.)

6. What are your 3 favorite shops and why.
#1 I love Ellen's shop. She is a great inspiration to me as an artist and one of my best Etsy friends. I greatly admire her ability to capture animals in nature. They look so real on her cards. I am hopeless with a paint brush. ;)
www.etsy.com/shop/songmountainfineart?ref=search_shop_redirect
#2 Brandon is a budding Canadian photographer. We became friends during his early days on Etsy and frequently check each other's shops for new listings. His photos are crystal clear and he often captures things that I can't here in the midwest US. We trade photos frequently. :)
www.etsy.com/shop/TheFancifulGardener?ref=shop_sugg
#3 I am a true cowgirl at heart. I frequently check Carol's shop to view the latest horse captures. I drool over her whole shop! :)) I also look to her for examples of a great photograph because horses are hard to photograph and she does an excellent job of capturing them in their natural environment.
www.etsy.com/shop/WildHoofbeats?ref=listing-shop-header-item-count

7. Where do you see your crafting business in 10 years?
While I'm sure I will still be creating in some form in 10 years I highly doubt that my Etsy shop will still exist. I will be in my mid 30's by then and hopefully be kept busy raising a large family and training up my children in the ways of the Lord.

FABULOUS FRIDAY FINDS: Nonoluna

This Photo Greeting Card was made by Ilona from Nonoluna. visit her Etsy shop @https://www.etsy.com/shop/Nonoluna , what is your favorite item from Ilona's shop? We'd like to know!

1) Tell me a little about yourself.
I'm a wife and a Stay-At-Home Mom which also means that I have the biggest role in homeschooling my daughter. I love music, reading, going to the theatre, singing, dancing, watching baseball, vibrant colours, tasty food, Disney fun and pretty much anything that Joss Whedon or Stephen Moffat create.

2) Where does your inspiration come from when crafting?
Starting a new project for me is really about listening to that little voice inside me that says, 'This is what you should do...make it!' I love to blend different colours when beading and it's always a fun surprise when it all comes together, exploring the world through the lens of my camera and working with my daughter to choose a new die cut and paper.

3) Who taught you and how did you learn to craft?
I am entirely self taught. An idea comes into my head and I figure out a way to make it happen. I even made my own special knitting loom to accommodate the thick alpaca yarn I use.

4) Any Specific Tips you have for newbie crafters starting a business in etsy?
Create things that make you happy. Don't keep yourself in any kind of a box. Connect with people here on Etsy via teams and participate regularly. DON'T GIVE UP! It takes time to build a reputation and to get your products known, especially if you make something that has a lot of competition.

5) Name 3 websites you couldn’t live without.
There's only one website that I can't live without - www.etsy.com

6)What are your 3 favorite shops and why.
www.buttonfinder.etsy.com - I love the huge assortment of buttons that are here! Buttons make me happy. :)

www.YesterdaysMemories09.etsy.com - Great packaging materials plus lots of other fun items! :)

www.GrandmasCrochetCotta.etsy.com - Lots of fabulous handmade crocheted items in the shop and she makes custom requests! :)

7) Where do you see your crafting business in 10 years?
In 10 years, I see this as a Mother/Daughter enterprise. My daughter already has a section in my shop and at 5, helps with product development and packaging. As her ability grows, so will her involvement. My goal is that this business completely fund her dance costs. Ultimately for me, that's what this is all about - providing something more for our family than we could otherwise do. :)
