FABULOUS FRIDAY FINDS: KraftersKorner

Above photo print was made by Crystal from KraftersKorner. visit her Etsy shop @https://www.etsy.com/shop/krafterskorner , what is your favorite item from Crystal'shop? We'd like to know!

1.Tell me a little about yourself.
I am a recent college graduate with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have no formal training in photography. I love nature and animals, especially horses. :)

2.Where does your inspiration come from when crafting?
God's creation.

3.Who taught you and how did you learn to craft?
I have done many types of crafts throughout the years. My grandmother taught me to sew at a very young age. I taught myself to knit when I was twelve. I have always enjoyed papercrafting. I just started taking nature photos a few years ago when a fellow Etsy member gave me a camera.

4. Any Specific Tips you have for newbie crafters starting a business in etsy?
Plug into a good team that can help you with SEO and selling tips (they are also good for boosting morale. :)) Study shops that make similar items and learn what makes them successful.

5. Name 3 websites you couldn’t live without.
   1. Etsy (no surprise, huh? :)) I have many friends there among customers.
   2. Amazon (my favorite place to shop online after Etsy.)
   3. Yahoo (I read the news there every morning. It keeps me in touch with the rest of the world.)

6. What are your 3 favorite shops and why.
#1 I love Ellen's shop. She is a great inspiration to me as an artist and one of my best Etsy friends. I greatly admire her ability to capture animals in nature. They look so real on her cards. I am hopeless with a paint brush. ;)

#2 Brandon is a budding Canadian photographer. We became friends during his early days on Etsy and frequently check each other's shops for new listings. His photos are crystal clear and he often captures things that I can't here in the midwest US. We trade photos frequently. :)

#3 I am a true cowgirl at heart. I frequently check Carol's shop to view the latest horse captures. I drool over her whole shop! :)) I also look to her for examples of a great photograph because horses are hard to photograph and she does an excellent job of capturing them in their natural environment.

7. Where do you see your crafting business in 10 years?
While I'm sure I will still be creating in some form in 10 years I highly doubt that my Etsy shop will still exist. I will be in my mid 30's by then and hopefully be kept busy raising a large family and training up my children in the ways of the Lord.

  1. This interview was a little bit hard to read. I couldn't differentiate between the questions and the answers during parts of it. Actually, I think it's because the question was left off of #5. I would have also liked to see more of her items featured within the post itself.
