CRAFTING ANECDOTES: A Crochet Story

My grandmother taught me when I was about 5. I learned to make a chain. I made chains miles long. Every color I could. I would make chains that went all through the house. Of course, I had to pull them out and re-roll them back into a ball for my grandma! She then taught me different stitches.
My very best friend crochets too. We used to just sit and crochet and enjoy a cup together, me tea, her coffee. I miss those days. We live far apart and the time we do get to spend together, we certainly don't sit and crochet!

Fast track to 20 years later.........

No Time To Crochet I've always wanted to keep crocheting but I never told anyone because I was always told that the only people who crochet are old women an women who are having babies so I gave up, then a year ago I told my husband that I've always wanted 2 do it so he bought me a crochet kit, a book and yarn so I tried and I failed to get it straight then I started watching you tube videos and then I learn how to do different stitches, I learned how to make my first scarf and beanie, and now I'm making a blanket but sadly with my 2 daughters and husband I have no time 2 crochet and it makes me sad because crocheting always calms me down and I love doing it but I have no time:(

  1. I like crocheting and knitting... and have no time for it either. I've decided that it is ok, I cannot have time for all of my hobbies! :)
