Washi tape is made from natural fibers, such as bamboo or hemp, but most commonly from the bark of trees that are native to Japan — the mulberry, the mitsumata shrub or the gampi tree. Most washi tapes are strong (as strong as duct tape in some cases!) and functional as well as pretty, making them wonderful for both daily  and decorative use.

  2. its also very inexpensive and budget friendly, so if you are a nesting mom like me and kim, washi tape is for you! I also did a project which is not posted here but I used wahi tape on my venetian blinds to add color to my boring venetian blinds. I live in a building in sf where window décor is not allowed, they didn't say anything about venetian blinds =)

  8. I discovered 2 new uses for it, it can be used to stick reminders to the wall and when you are done, it comes right off =)
it can also be "pretend bandaid " for dolls and stuffed animals

(the last one probably pertains to moms and babysitters LOL)
