My name is Mary Ann Masagca. I 'd like to say I was
born to craft but I did not realize that until 3 years ago, and I am a stay at
home mom. I was born and raised in the Phillipines but moved here to
California seventeen years ago, and I would have to admit that I lived a
sheltered life in the Philippines, never having to work and surrounded with maids
waiting on me. But since moving to California, I graduated college then worked
as a teacher, sales associate, teen counselor, government employee, drug
counselor , and finally finding satisfaction in starting my own small business
making and selling handmade items and craft supplies on Etsy.
Why did I decide to start a blog? Well, when you
are a crafter like me, you just want to share your craft to the world! I’m
also very creative and resourceful. Not just because I'm a crafter, mind you.
I’ve always been creative and imaginative, I've always managed to get around
conventional limits ;)
I settled on crafting and selling goods in etsy
because creating handicrafts seemed so natural to me. What else could I have
done? I am a stay at home mom with some time to spare, so it was obvious to me
that I should take my skills and apply them where they would be of use. I am
also a curator of my own team in etsy. Not only did I love making sales for me,
I also love getting sales for others. I strongly believe in karma. Whatever you
give comes back to you ten-fold. I am not just an etsy seller, I am also an
Etsy buyer.
One of the most interesting things for me has been
meeting people in Etsy. In times of need, you really see how tight each
community becomes. We’d exchange recipes and crafting tips!
That is one goal of mine. I’d love to see that kind
of community support the world over. Not just in getting sales, but in everyday
life. The community that support each other are the people that succeed. In
this giant community of Etsy, it’s vital that we remember that our
responsibilities lie not just with ourselves, but also with our neighbors.
I’d like to think I’m doing my part as a crafter
and Etsian, being useful as possible, and given the situation we are all in.
For now, I’d like to just continue crafting, selling crafts, and enjoy time with my new friends.
See you there!
Hey Stinky (aka Mary Ann)! LOL
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see you join the blogging world. You will have so much fun sharing your crafty talents here. =0)
First thing's first, I don't see the "follow me" widget, so I don't know how to follow your blog. If you need help setting up, just shoot me an email.
